I... don't think.. I'll ever believe another promise. I've been promised SO much. So damn much, no matter who they're from or when they're promised or no matter how big a speech is made on it; I'll never trust a promise. I used to balance my hopes -my DREAMS- blindly on promises. And the promises always fell, pulling my hopes down with them. The people who made them, they're good people, and I'll trust them. Its promises I don't trust. I'll never ever bring myself to take those words "I promise" fully. There's always going to be the doubt of knowing promises (at least with me) fail 90% of the time. I don't count much on that 10%. The 10 is an afterthought, I pretty much say 100% of the time promises never work out.
I used to say, "promises are just for hope. THey're alright, I know they don't work out, but I can still hold onto them." Now, it hurts a bit too much to do that. I can't just live with the fact I took the word of a lie knowingly.
I'm rambling uncoherently though. I'm mainly just waiting for someone to pop on AIM to talk to. Because I need to be social right now. I'm damn depressed after a couple days of no company. I need to speak with someone who can cheer me up.
I fear depression. I fear any source of pain like you'd never believe. Sprinks used to think I was fearless. Well, my lion face is a show. I know I'm nothing but a oozing sop of fear without my lies of courage.
Isn't that courage, though? Facing your fear. THat's courage, right?
